First off, we have two sides of this long chain of Islands. The Ocean side and the bay side. You can ask any local and they will be sure to tell you the absolute best sunset can be seen on the bay side of the island.
Time of Year
Sunsets happen earlier in the winter and later in the summer. January sunsets range from 5:50 to 6:15 p.m., by mid-February the sun sets a little later. After March when daylight saving time begins it hits 7:30pm. April begins with sunsets around 7:45 p.m. hitting 8 p.m. by the end of the month and staying between 8 and 8:30 p.m. until the middle of August. After that it slowly goes backwards and around mid-October it hits 7pm. When daylight time shifts again, in November, the sunset goes all the way back to 5:45 p.m. Throughout December, it hits between about 5:30 and 5:45 p.m.
