Your wedding is over now what?
Key west is a top destination wedding choice. Known for its palm trees, sunsets and tropical setting.
But the big day is over and you’re like now what?
You chose a destination wedding in paradise and on an Island full of natural history.
Why not go and explore?
One of the best places to go and check out is the Ernest Hemingway house. It was the residence of American writer Ernest Hemingway in the 1930s. The house was built in 1851 and made of limestone to withhold during hurricanes. When visiting the house, the property is lush with native tropical plants and the polydactyly cats, who support six toes on each front paw. They roam the property and outside the walls as well and have celebrity names such as Marilyn Monroe. The house also supports a cat cemetery.
If you’re wanting to just sit back and relax and listen to all the history around the island then hop on the Conch train tour which will take you past Hemingway’s home, learn about Mel Fisher’s lifelong search for sunken treasure, see Harry Truman’s White House and more.
Not only did you choose a beautiful destination wedding location but an Island full of history. There is plenty to do and explore after the wedding before you go back to reality.
